Solidage Africa Foundation Launches YCALF Cohort One in Bamenda, Cameroon
Solidage Africa Foundation (SAF) has officially launched Cohort One of the Young Change Agents Leadership Fellowship (YCALF) at the RADA Office in Nkwen, Bamenda, Cameroon. The opening session marked a significant milestone in SAF’s ongoing commitment to youth leadership development and continental transformation. The program commenced with close to fifty (50) passionate young participants who successfully registered through the online application platform.
YCALF is designed to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become effective change agents within their communities and beyond. The fellowship focuses on leadership development, civic responsibility, critical thinking, and social impact, empowering participants to identify challenges and develop practical solutions that contribute to sustainable development across Africa.
The successful rollout of the program in Cameroon led by SAF Ambassador George Charisma, who serves as the Coordinator and one of the Facilitators for this important initiative. His leadership and dedication have been instrumental in bringing YCALF's vision to life, ensuring a structured, engaging, and impactful learning experience for all participants.
Solidage Africa Foundation remains committed to expanding the reach of the YCALF program. Following its implementation in Cameroon, SAF plans to introduce an online version of the fellowship, enabling young people across Africa to participate and benefit from the program regardless of location. This expansion reflects SAF’s broader pan-African vision of nurturing a generation of informed, ethical, and proactive young leaders.
Through YCALF, SAF is intentionally investing in young people, teaching them to become positive change agents who will drive the social, economic, and political transformation of Africa. By empowering today’s youth, Solidage Africa Foundation is laying the foundation for a stronger, more united, and prosperous continent tomorrow.
